O.J. Murdock funeral set for Saturday

Funeral services for former Middleton High and Tennessee Titans WR O.J. Murdock will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Tabernacle in Thonotosassa.

Murdock, who won state track titles at Middleton and experienced a turbulent college football career before landing with the Titans, died Monday morning from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was 25.

Visitation will be held Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Calvary Tabernacle, with the family being present from 7-8 p.m. Interment will follow Saturday's funeral at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in Tampa.
