Osceola softball standout Carly Van Auken inked a letter of intent with the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, last Saturday according to Carly's father and Osceola head coach Calvin Van Auken.

As a sophomore, Van Auken was named to the St. Petersburg Times all-Pinellas first team and all-Suncoast second team. Last season, Van Auken missed half of the season with a separated left shoulder but still was selected to the PCAC South County first team.

Van Auken is a three sport -- volleyball, softball and golf -- letter winner at Osceola.

State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, formerly Manatee Community College, is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association
