Staff writer Matt Baker looks at a few underappreciated recruits here. We asked our Facebook friends the players they think have flown under the radar. Here are a few of their picks:

Austin Aikens, Plant, 6-0/ 185
Aikens says he only has offers from Western Kentucky and Toledo, and you'd think the leading receiver on state champ Plant would have more. Last season: 37 catches, 704 yards, 11 touchdowns. Doesn't seem right to us.

Ian Koch, Clearwater Central Catholic, 6-3/270
A guard on an offensive line that had one of the better rushing attacks around, Koch has had some interest from Duke, Indiana, Ole Miss, USF and UCF, according to Rivals, but nothing in the way of big offers.

Marcus Neuman, Alonso, 6-3/220
Linebacker led the Ravens with 110 tackles and seven sacks, but still looking for something. Made a lot of plays, speed may be an issue.

Branden Leston, Clearwater, 6-3/205
Great size, great hands, physical player had 50 catches for 795 yards and 9 touchdowns. Tight end or defense could be an option for this athletic talent.

Alec Maughan, Tampa Catholic, 6-1/210
The Crusaders linebacker was limited this past season due to injuries, but still had 39 tackles and a sack. According to Rivals, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, USF and Northwestern showed interest at one time.

Kieran Pettus, East Bay, 6-3/220
The Indian defensive end has made his share of all-area/conference teams, but the big offer has yet to come. Has received some mid-level interest, as well as looks by Georgia Tech and USF, says Rivals.
