Palm Harbor University has four boys and girls swimmers who signed with colleges, the most Hurricanes coach Lisa Bitting has ever had from a graduating class.
Wes Stearns, the Times 2009 boys county swimmer of the year, signed his letter of intent to go to Harvard during the early signing period in November. The others have decided where they are going the past few months.
Blake Freeman is headed to Kentucky and Mark Gettino is going to Florida Atlantic. Caroline Myers signed with George Washington University.
Stearns, Freeman and Gettino helped PHU win conference, district and region titles. Myers led the Hurricanes to their second straight conference title.
