Sharee Booze, a three-year starter for the Palm Harbor University girls basketball team, recently scored her 1,000th career point.

“She’s a scorer,” Hurricanes coach Darian Dublin said.

Booze, a 5-foot-6 shooting guard, currently averages more than 20 points per game, something she also achieved last season. Booze began her career at Clearwater, playing there one season before transferring to Palm Harbor U.

She is being recruited by Division II schools Eckerd and Tampa, along with Hillsborough Community College.

This season, Booze already has scored 282 points for the 8-5 Hurricanes.
