Palm Harbor U.'s Zach Perrotti signs with Kentucky

Palm Harbor University swimmer Zach Perrotti, a St. Petersburg Times' first-team all-county selection in multiple events this past season, has signed with the University of Kentucky.

The senior has been part of two state championship Hurricane teams, including 2011's Class 3A titlists. Perrotti was fifth at state in the 100 fly and was part of the winning 200 medley relay team. He also swam on the 200 free relay team that was third in 3A.

Perrotti is the fifth senior on PHU coach Lisa Bitting's PYP club team to sign with a Division-I college, joining Kelsey Buckley (Florida State), David Morgan (Ohio State), Rebecca Werdine (LSU) and Jason Williams (FSU). Perrotti will join former Hurricane standout Blake Freeman at Kentucky.
