Pasco softball ace Courtney Brandt pitched a perfect game Friday in a 12-0 win against Ridgewood.
Brandt struck out 15 of the 18 batters she faced through six innings. Pasco coach Lisa Herndon said in an e-mail that only three balls were put into play.
In terms of fielding support, Pasco catcher Megan Newsome made a diving catch behind home plate for an out. Brandt gloved a ball right back at her and threw to first for another out. And first baseman Erika Valdes made an unassisted play at first base for the other out.
Brandt also had a great night from the plate, blasting a home run, a double and three RBIs.
Newsome also had three RBIs and a pair of triples.
The Pirates travel to Hudson tonight, then host Wesley Chapel on Tuesday.
