Pasco ATH Malik Johns could miss the next 6-8 weeks with an ankle injury, Johns said Tuesday night during a North Suncoast 7-on-7 session at Wesley Chapel.

Johns was on crutches during the Pirates’ games after sustaining a recent non-football injury. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound senior said he should be fine by the start of fall practice.

Johns was an all-North Suncoast selection last fall after scoring 12 touchdowns for the Class 5A region finalists. He holds offers from Florida Atlantic and UMass, among others.
