The teams (St. Petersburg and Countryside) and the site (Countryside)  for Friday's  Pinellas County Athletic Conference championship game have been set for nearly two weeks.

The only thing left to figure out was what time the game will be played. Now, that's set, too.

Friday's PCAC final will be played at 4 p.m. The reason for the earlier time has to do with Rui Farias, who coaches the boys and girls soccer teams at St. Petersburg. The dual role has not been a problem -- until now.

The Green Devils' girls play in the district semifinals tonight. If they win, they'll play in the championship game Friday night. That created a conflict because the time originally slated for the boys PCAC game was 7 p.m. Friday. Both teams have tried to work something out to where Farias could coach both teams on the same day. There was even talk of moving the the PCAC game to Saturday.

Instead, the starting time was moved up for the boys.

It has been a crazy week for soccer conference games. All PCAC challenge games that were slated for tonight have been canceled because there are not enough officials for those games and the girls district tournaments this week.
