PCAC girls hoops schedule finalized

The PCAC girls basketball schedule is all set as the last week of the regular season winds down. The challenge games will be on Thursday and the final will be Friday. This season, the south county schools host the games. All games start at 7 p.m.

Thursday's games: #8 Dunedin at #8 Pinellas Park; #7 Seminole at #7 Dixie Hollins; #6 Largo at #6 Northeast; #5 East Lake at #5 Osceola; #4 Countryside at #4 Gibbs; #3 Tarpon Springs at #3 St. Petersburg; #2 Clearwater at #2 Boca Ciega. 

Friday's final: #1 Palm Harbor University at #1 Lakewood. This is a rematch of Monday night’s game at Lakewood, which the Hurricanes won 51-48. It was the first time PHU has beaten Lakewood in girls basketball. Kristine Fuller scored 29 points for the Hurricanes.

“She’s a good player,’’ Lakewood coach Necole Tunsil said. “She’s going to get her points. You just have to stop the rest of the team.’’

Both teams are off until Friday’s game.
