After months of waiting for a scholarship offer, Palm Harbor University quarterback Billy Pavlock got two offers from Division II schools this week: Delta State and Ferris State.
But Pavlock most likely will bypass those offers to become a preferred walk-on at either Florida Atlantic, Florida International or South Florida.
“Billy has his heart set on playing Division I football and this is his most likely route,” Hurricanes coach Matt LePain said.
Pavlock shined as a quarterback this past season, throwing for 1,336 yards and 10 touchdowns, and rushing for 610 and 14 touchdowns. But he is versatile athlete who can also play as a receiver or defensive back.
