Palm Harbor University girls soccer senior defender Cory Amend, a member of the two-time defending state champion Hurricanes, has given an oral commitment to Flagler College.

Amend chose Flagler over offers from Covenant College and the University of South Alabama.

As a junior, Amend appeared in 16 games as a defender for PHU, which allowed only four goals en route to a 23-0-1 record and a second-straight state championship.

Flagler College, located in St. Augustine, is a Division II school playing in the Peach Belt Conference.
