Baseball: Times’ super seven
Records through Wednesday

1. Osceola (6-0): Won the Lee Byers Invitational and won at Tampa Catholic for a good early-season start.

2. Seminole (4-1): Take away one bad inning against Tarpon Springs and the Warhawks are undefeated. They can hit the ball all over the yard.

3. Countryside (4-1): Cougars can hit and are getting good pitching from Eric Russell, Vinny Ballantoni and Bobby St. Julien.

4. Clearwater Central Catholic (4-1): After a one-run loss to Countryside, the Marauders have won four straight. Big games against Shorecrest and SPC await.

5. Tarpon Springs (3-2): Record is a little deceiving. Both losses were 1-0, so the Spongers just need to wake up the bats.

6. St. Petersburg Catholic (5-1): Barons seem to be getting it going after a slow start.

7. East Lake (4-2): Season did not start off well in their own tournament, but the Eagles have big wins over Countryside and Winter Haven.
