Region quarterfinals
Thursday, 7 p.m.
Admission: $6

Class 6A, Bloomingdale (15-2-3) at Countryside (21-1-1): One of the best quarterfinal games in the state between nationally ranked teams. Both anticipated meeting in the region semifinals but are squaring off earlier after the Bulls were upset in the district final.

Class 5A, Northeast (8-7-0) at East Lake (14-4-1): These are teams headed in opposite directions. The Eagles scored a combined 13 goals in two district games last week. The Vikings allowed eight goals in the district final.

Class 5A, Seminole (9-10-0) at Pinellas Park (15-2-0): After scoring 16 goals in two games to win their first district title, the Patriots face the defending state finalist Warhawks in one of their toughest tests of the season.

Class 3A, Clearwater Central Catholic (18-6) at Mulberry (20-1-2): A loss in the district final means the Marauders have to travel to face a Mulberry team that has one of the best records in 3A.

Class 2A, Shorecrest (9-9-2) at Tampa Prep (15-4-1): A tough assignment for the Chargers, who are traveling to play the defending state champion.
