Times’ Super 7
Records through Tuesday
1. Clearwater Central Catholic (11-3): Went 3-2 at the Berkeley Premier, one of the best tournaments in the state. Looking ahead, the Marauders’ next big challenge may be Oct. 8 against Northside Christian.
2. Palm Harbor University (10-2): Made a statement in a three-game sweep of St. Petersburg on Tuesday. Some tough games on the horizon, but the Hurricanes appear to be peaking.
3. Clearwater (14-4): Won all four matches at the Wharton Harvest Tournament last weekend. District and PCAC matches await against Pinellas Park and Countryside.
4. St. Petersburg (12-6): Despite being swamped by PHU, the Green Devils are still a talented team. They don’t play again until next week’s PCAC pool play, so they have time to regroup.
5. Northside Christian (11-3): After an impressive win against Calvary Christian, the Mustangs lost to St. Petersburg Catholic. They host the Mustang Invitational this weekend.
6. Seminole (10-5): The Warhawks have won five straight — including sweeps in the last four. They will surely get tested this weekend in Orlando at the OVA tournament.
7. Calvary Christian (8-5): The Warriors are back in the Super 7 after following a loss to Northside Christian with sweeps of Indian Rocks Christian and Tarpon Springs.
