Plant City defensive back Jyquis Thomas commited to Temple, assistant coach Greg Meyer said Friday.

Thomas was offered by the Owls in November, Meyer said. The 6-foot-1 senior had 59 tackles for the Raiders in 2013, five for loss, and had one interception and one blocked punt.

"Jyquis had taken official visits to Indiana and Temple and had another set up to Toledo in January but really felt that Temple was the right fit," Meyer said in a text message.

Jefferson's Derrick Ingram and Ventell Bryant orally committed to Temple on Dec. 8. Meyer said Thomas is looking forward to joining the two Dragons in Philadelphia next fall.
