Plant City junior tight end/defensive end Jordan Prestwood figures to receives plenty of major national D-I scholarship offers over the next few months, and on Friday he received his first.
South Carolina offered Prestwood Friday, Raiders coach Jason Strunk said.
The Gamecocks are recruiting Prestwood as a tight end and offensive tackle, Strunk said, and believe he projects to be an offensive tackle as he fills out.
Strunk also said UCF will likely soon make Prestwood an offer after their season ends, and that UCF assistant Jim Paganos has "done a great job" of recruiting Prestwood.
The 6-foot-6, 255-pound Prestwood made 26 catches for 311 yards and 3 touchdowns last season.
Prestwood already owns an offer from USF and FIU.
