Plant senior outside hitter Tina Catanach has committed to Loyola (Md.) University in Baltimore, Panthers coach Leanna Taylor confirmed Monday.

Catanach averaged 1.6 kills a game last season as the Panthers won their fourth straight state title by clamining the Class 6A crown. Plant won its previous three state crowns playing in 5A.

She was also being recruited by Lehigh and Northern Kentucky.

The Greyhounds were 15-18 last season and 10-8 in the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference.

Catanach is the third rising senior to commit to a Division I school. Outside hitter Alex Johnson has committed to Georgetown and middle hitter Paige Tuttle pledged to Princeton.

Catanach is the daughter of University of Tampa volleyball coach Chris Catanach. Her older sister, Kellie, is currently a junior setter at Duke.
