Plant’s Jake Fruhmorgen, a junior offensive tackle, announced via Twitter on Monday afternoon that he’d been given an offer by Notre Dame.

“Just offered by #Notre Dame My Grandpas favorite!” he tweeted

Rivals ranks the 6-foot-5, 256-pound Panther a four-star recruit, and he’s already received several offers from top-tier Division I programs, including Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Alabama.

Fruhmorgen plays on an offensive line that has been solid for the Panthers this season, aiding quarterback Colby Brown in setting a pair of Plant passing records in a September 20 game against Bloomingdale.

“No one throws for 500-plus yards if the offensive line isn’t doing a great job,” Plant coach Robert Weiner said about his offensive line last week.
