Plant standout James Wilder Jr. is one of 19 juniors to be named to the 2011 U.S. Army All-America Game, one of the premier showcase events for high school seniors, Rivals.com has announced.

Wilder confirmed Saturday morning via text message he received the invitation.

Tampa Catholic quarterback Christian Green is playing in this year's game.

The selections were made by a committee that includes Rivals.com recruiting analysts.

Wilder, the Times All-Suncoast Defensive Player of the Year, was selected as a linebacker. During this season's state title run, Wilder also was a standout running back and a defensive end.

"Wilder really gets to the football in a hurry," Rivals.com recruiting analyst Barry Every said on the website. "He's also aggressive and plays with a good motor."

More than 90 U.S. Army game alums have played in the NFL.
