WINTER HAVEN — When it rains it pours, and it certainly did pour Friday night at Jahna Field, sending the estimated crowd of 150 running for shelter.

When play finally resumed 90 minutes later, All Saints’ came up short on the scoreboard to Cambridge Christian,  42-14.

Cambridge displayed more size and solid play from its skill position players. The Lancers scored three times quickly in the first quarter as quarterback Garrett Young threw touchdown passes of 24 and 26 yards. In the second quarter, Young added a 52-yard touchdown run.

All Saints’ running back Michael Hart then took a veer triple option lead handoff, resulting in a 2-yard touchdown run.

Later in the fourth quarter, Saints’ quarterback Patrick Fox scored on a fourth-and-1 quarterback sneak.
