GIBSONTON — East Bay and Chamberlain, both 4-6 last season, appeared headed in opposite directions with the host Indians capitalizing on three turnovers and erasing a 13-12 deficit with a 28-0 run for a 46-20 win.

East Bay quarterback Chris Carpentier ran for 75 yards and two touchdowns, adding a 37-yard TD to Anton Crutcher and two-point conversion to Devin Hart.

Running back Chris Greene rushed for a game-high 118 yards and two touchdowns for the Indians. His second score came on a 30-yard scamper down the right sideline in which he fumbled but recovered the ball in the end zone.

Dakarai Highsmith led Chamberlain’s offense with touchdown runs of 12 and 29 yards.

Turnovers plagued the Chiefs — Carpentier ran for his first touchdown three plays after a fumble recovery and Kameron Daniels scooped up a fumble and returned it 58 yards for a score.
