St. Petersburg Catholic running back Ryan Green had an 85-yard touchdown run on the Barons’ first play from scrimmage and the rout was on for the visiting Barons. Green ended with 177 yards rushing on three carries.

"He was a man among boys," Bishop McLaughlin coach Derrick Alexander said.

Green also scored on a 22-yard pass from Jack Sheehan. Jaquan Fuller gained 133 yards on six carries and two touchdowns. Fuller also had a receiving touchdown.

Sheehan was 4-for-4 for 119 yards and two touchdowns. All three Barons players were out of the game by the second quarter.

Bishop McLaughlin's passing attack led to an early drive, which ended in a fumble. The Hurricanes also had a field goal blocked, and several dropped passes ended drives.

"We've got good teaching tools for next week," Alexander said.
