HUDSON — Fivay hosted Wesley Chapel in a preseason game Friday, and the Wildcats made themselves at home with an 18-6 victory.

Fivay’s first drive  was cut short when defensive back Mark Labarbera intercepted Eric Vitale’s pass at midfield. The Falcons defense answered  back when Davion Sutton sacked Xavier Toro and forced a  fumble to give the Falcons’ offense another try.

Sutton  closed out the drive from  1 yard out to open the scoring . That would be the only offensive highlight by either team in the first half.
The second half belonged to the Wildcats. With just  more than a minute to go in the third quarter,  Jase Williams tied the score at 6 with a  1-yard run .

Fivay put in its junior varsity for  the fourth quarter. Wesley Chapel capitalized on the opportunity by adding  two more touchdowns. The first was by Jordan Thompson with a speedy run to the outside from 39 yards.  Quarterback Austion Sessums hooked up with Kyle Brown from 37 yards out for the  final score .

Fivay opens its regular season next week at  Ridgewood . Wesley Chapel hosts  Zephyrhills.
