Diminutive Carrollwood Day three-way standout Darius Bing has received a scholarship offer from Division II program Quincy (Ill.), Patriots coach Lane McLaughlin announced.

Bing (5-foot-5, 160 pounds), who totaled more than 1,400 offensive yards and registered 99 tackles as a senior, also has been offered by Illinois-based NAIA school Olivet Nazarene University. A handful of other small-college programs have shown varying degrees of interest.

Quincy has recruited the bay area heavily in recent years; defensive ends coach Raleigh Daves is a former East Lake assistant. The Hawks' 2009 roster featured 14 local players.
