Moments after his five-goal outburst in the Class 4A, District 9 title game, Plant City senior captain Cameron Roberts confirmed he has committed to Division II Palm Beach Atlantic.

The commitment upholds somewhat of a family tradition. Two of Roberts' three older brothers also played for the Sailfish. Cheyne Roberts remains a PBA assistant coach.

A rangy center-midfielder, Roberts' 40 goals are a Plant City single-season record. His five in Friday's 6-1 rout of Strawberry Crest were the most he has ever scored in one match -- at any level.

He'll join former Raider A.J. Black -- son of Plant City coach Chris Black -- at PBA.
