As expected, Tuesday's morning showers have caused some shake-ups in the final day of pool play at the Saladino Tournament.
Officials remained hopeful of getting in three contests at Brandon High including a highly anticipated 2 p.m. matchup between Durant and King. That contest, featuring a pitching duel between University of Florida signees Brett Morales (King) and Tyler Danish, has attracted roughly two-dozen big-league scouts.
The Spoto-Brooks-DeBartolo game, set for Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Brandon, now will be played Wednesday at 7 at the University of Tampa. Elsewhere, two other contests with no bearing on the outcomes of their respective pools also have been rescheduled.
The Middleton-East Bay game at the University of Tampa, originally set for Tuesday at 10, will be played at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Plant City-Chamberlain contest, slated for 4 p.m. Tuesday at Jefferson, will be played Wednesday at 4 at UT.
For now, Wednesday's four quarterfinal contests -- all to be played at Brandon -- remain on schedule.
