Hudson G Zack Petersen has orally committed to Aurora University, Cobras coach Jason Vetter announced Thursday night on Twitter.

Petersen earned honorable mention all-North Suncoast honors as a senior. He led Hudson in scoring (15 points per game) and ranked among the team’s leaders in steals (2.0 per game), rebounds (3.9) and assists (2.8). He scored in double figures in 10 consecutive games before a season-ending loss to Anclote in the district tournament.

Petersen will have nearly a full ride to the NCAA Division III program in Illinois.

Another Hudson boys basketball player, Bryce Durham, received an offer from Doane College, an NAIA program in Crete, Neb., Vetter said.

Durham also earned honorable mention all-North Suncoast honors. The senior guard led the Cobras in steals (2.9 per game) and assists (4.5 per game) while averaging 13.4 points and 5.6 rebounds.
