Although Ridgewood remains winless in coach Jay Fulmer’s two games as head coach, the Rams have one big positive: They’ve found a ground game.

Ridgewood rushed for 239 yards and two touchdowns in last week’s 17-14 loss to River Ridge. That’s more yardage than the Rams have gained in the previous four games combined (206 yards).

The last time the Rams gained more than 200 rushing yards in a game was the season finale in 2010, when Ridgewood racked up 278 yards against Zephyrhills.

That 39-28 win over the Bulldogs was also the last time the Rams had a 100-yard rusher, with Cameron Rodriguez running for 246 yards. Senior Elton Grigley snapped that 11-game streak without a 100-yard rusher by gaining 150 yards on 15 carries against the Royal Knights.
