Two Ridgewood baseball players firmed up their college choices late last week.
Drake Hloska signed with Alabama State, and Tim Osborne signed with Saint Leo during a ceremony on Friday.
Hloska, a pitcher and third baseman, was one of Pasco County’s top pitchers for the 15-10 Rams. He posted a 2.42 ERA and 5-3 record with 37 strikeouts in 46.1 innings this spring. At the plate, he ranked among Ridgewood’s leaders with a .338 batting average and a team-best eight extra-base hits. He earned second-team all-North Suncoast honors last spring.
Osborne, an outfielder, led the Rams with a .365 average while batting in 15 runs. His 33 runs scored and 18 stolen bases led the team. Osborne was an honorable mention all-North Suncoast selection as a junior.
