Ridgewood lineman Chris Branfield needs an MRI exam to evaluate a knee injury he sustained in Friday’s loss to Mitchell, Rams coach Jay Fulmer said Monday.

Branfield, a 6-foot-3, 225-pound tackle, is one of Ridgewood’s top talents and was expected to anchor the Rams’ line.

TE Max Livingstone, who also left Friday’s game, should be fine after sustaining a mild ankle sprain in the 48-6 loss to the Mustangs, Fulmer said.

Livingstone is one of Ridgewood’s top receiving threats. The 6-foot-5 senior qualified for state in the 400 meters and is receiving recruiting interest from FAU, Iowa State and others.
