River Ridge is looking for a new boys basketball coach.

The Royal Knights have posted that position after the school dismissed Rick Conn late last season because the team racked up too many technical fouls. Assistant Chuck Butler coached the team for its final few games.

River Ridge principal Maria Swanson said the school is looking for a fresh start with its program. The program is accepting applications until April 24, and Swanson said interviews will begin shortly after that.

The Royal Knights finished 3-22 last season but boast one of the North Suncoast's top talents, 6-foot-8 sophomore John Childs.
