River Ridge standout softball player Morgan Tolle has orally committed to James Madison, Royal Knights coach Ernie Beck said Wednesday in an email.

Tolle was one of Pasco County’s top players as a sophomore last spring. The infielder earned first-team all-conference and second-team all-North Suncoast honors while leading the Royal Knights to a 19-win season and the Class 6A region finals.

Tolle was among the team’s leaders with a .404 average along with five triples, six doubles and four home runs. She also batted in 26 runs.

She won’t be the only Division I recruit on her team. River Ridge senior Jada Clemons signed with Jacksonville University in November.

Oral commitments are non-binding until recruits sign letters of intent during their senior seasons.
