River Ridge senior pitcher Ana Alberti, who went 7-1 with a 1.27 ERA for the Knights as a junior, will sign a letter-of-intent with the University of Hartford.

Alberti was a St. Petersburg Times second team all-North Suncoast pick and an all-Sunshine Athletic Conference West first team selection following a standout junior season. In addition to her stellar pitching numbers, Alberti batted a team high .432 with 25 RBIs, 12 doubles and three home runs.

Alberti will sign Wednesday in the River Ridge administrative conference room at 2 p.m.

The University of Hartford is a Division I school playing in the America East Conference.
