River Ridge senior lineman Joe Schoepf has committed to Greenville College according to first-year Royal Knights head coach Gary Allen.

At 6-foot-4, 300 pounds, Schoepf was the top lineman for a 2-8 River Ridge team in 2010. He played both guard and tackle for the Royal Knights.

Following his senior season, Schoepf was named to the All-Sunshine Athletic Conference third team and was a St. Petersburg Times' All-North Suncoast honorable mention selection.

Schoepf plans to major in pre-med.

"You cannot find a higher quality athlete with a higher quality of character than Joe," Greenville assistant coach T.J. Gaylord said on the team's website. "He will be a guy that will make a difference on this campus during his four years at Greenville. I am intrigued to see how his career plays out with the highest expectations."

Greenville College is a Division III school located in Greenville, Ill. The Panthers finished 7-3 last season.
