Ryan Green, RB, St. Petersburg Catholic (5-10, 195 pounds)

The latest: It's been awhile since a Big Ten school has offered Green, but Illinois made a verball offer Monday, joining league rivals Purdue and Ohio State.

Offers: Kentucky, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, Purdue, USF, Florida State, Florida, Miami, Central Florida, Ohio State, South Carolina, Virginia, Auburn, Mississippi, Clemson, Tennessee,  Arkansas, North Carolina, Mississippi State, Southern Cal, Ohio State.

Last season: Green rushed for 1,171 yards on 140 carries (8.4 per carry), scoring 15 rushing touchdowns. He also caught 12 passes for 158 yards and a touchdown. Green also had three return touchdowns.

We say: Green who has 4.4 speed and great explosiveness, is ranked No. 1 in the 2013 class of Tampa Bay by the Times.

They say: Rivals lists Green as the No. 90 prospect in the country.
