“I was able to watch their hitters (Monday) when they played Sickles so I put together a plan of how I wanted to pitch them. I just focused on my lower body, kept my head still and tried to get into a groove. My curveball wasn’t really working today so I threw some different fastballs and the changeup a lot today and it worked. It feels good to shut out a team like that.” — Gainey
