Boca Ciega had to push back the Class 5A, District 12 boys soccer tournament another day because the field still needs time to dry out due to Tuesday's heavy rain, athletic director Bob Medici said via e-mail.

The threat of inclement weather forced the tournament to move back the quarterfinals and semifinals to Wednesday and Thursday. Now, the quarterfinal game between Boca Ciega and Gibbs will be played Thursday at 7 p.m. The semifinals will be Friday at 6 and 8. The championship game, originally scheduled for Friday, will be played Saturday at 10 a.m.

Medici said the championship game was scheduled early because of administrative availability that day.

Pinellas Park is the No. 1 seed and Northeast is No. 2.
