Seminole's Flynn Bluett received the first Keith Vincent MacCollom Spirit Award, named in honor of the former Warhawk standout basketball player who was among four teens killed in car crash April 10 of last year.

The award, which was announced at the boys basketball team banquet, will now be given annually to the player "who exemplifies outstanding team spirit, sportsmanship and dedication."

Bluett was one Seminole's leaders this past season and helped the Warhawks rebound from a shaky start to become a district contender. MacCollom's uncle presented the award to Bluett.

"It's an absolute honor to be voted this award by my teammates," Bluett said in a press release. "This award is something for me to always be proud of and I will carry this achievement with me throughout college and the rest of my life."
