Seminole first baseman Corey Baptist was named the Florida Athletic Coaches Association Class 7A-10 Player of the Year.

Baptist, who transferred from St. Petersburg Catholic for his senior year, hit .455 with four home runs and stole 19 bases.

Baptist is committed to Mississippi and will play in the Pinellas vs. Hillsborough senior all-star game at Tropicana Field on May 29.
