Seminole's Austin Cowan signed to play football at the United States Coast Guard Academy prep school in Roswell, New Mexico this fall. 

Cowan, who started at quarterback for the Warhawks as a junior, suffered an ACL knee injury in August and was unable to play football or basketball his senior year. Cowan focused on rehabilitating his knee, maintaining his grades and applied to the Academy last fall.

Cowan plans on completing prep school and becoming a cadet at the Coast Guard Academy where he will play football for Coach Bill George and the Bears. Upon graduation from the Academy Cowan will be a commissioned officer United States Coast Guard.
