Nine local prep football players have earned their own distinctive version of All-Madden immortality.

The contingent was among 40 players chosen for the 2012 IMG All-Madden Team as a result of its peformance at last month's invitation-only All-Madden Mini-Camp on the IMG campus in Bradenton.

The team was chosen from more than 120 players representing 20 states as well as Canada, Switzerland, Mexico and Japan.

"I told the players at the very beginning that their talent can only take them so far, and their future depended on their hard work and commitment to improving, and this group of young men proved themselves," said former FSU Heisman Trophy-winning QB Chris Weinke, director of IMG's football academy.

The locals selected: Tampa Catholic LT Corey Martinez (offense, first team), Plant C Richard Bush (offense, first team), Jesuit RT Cameron Ruff (offense, first team), Jesuit DE Brad Smith (defense, first team), Sickles OLB Haiden Nagel (defense, first team), Clearwater WR Craig Parsons (honorable mention), Pinellas Park DL Joshua Estremera (honorable mention), Gaither K Dalton Gilson (honorable mention) and Gaither P Jared Gremley (honorable mention).
