Here’s a quick update on Plant grad Sheldon Cooley, a freshman for East Tennessee State‘s basketball team:

It hasn’t taken Cooley long to make an impact in college.

In his 16th game at the college level, the 6-foot-3 guard produced arguably the game of his life in a loss Saturday to Mercer.

Cooley’s final stat line: 11 of 22 from the field, 6 of 8 from the line, 29 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.

For the season, he is averaging 7.4 points, 3.1 boards per game and 19.9 minutes per game.
