Boys basketball coach Randy Shuman recorded his 500th career victory with Boca Ciega on Wednesday, a 57-44 win over Countryside.

Raeshon Dunbar scored 22 for the host Pirates, who acknowledged the accomplishment with an announcement. Shuman had 29 wins in West Virginia.

In 25 seasons, Shuman has guided Boca Ciega to 14 playoff appearances, including a state title in 1994 and a final four appearance in 2002.
