Two Wharton girls soccer players, both juniors, have verbally committed to play in college, coach Dennis Vukorep announced today.

Ashni Deschenes, who led the Wildcats in scoring in each of the past two seasons, has committed to Stetson. During the 2011-12 campaign, she posted 14 goals and six assists. And classmate Leah Chisolm, a member of the Guyana national under-17 and under-20 teams, committed to Eckerd. Both were named to the all-Western Conference teams this year.
