Pasco senior Courtney Brandt has signed with Stetson University, a Division I school playing in the Atlantic Sun Conference.

Brandt was the Pirates' leading hitter last season, batting .444 with team-highs for RBIs (30), runs (31), doubles (8), triples (4) and home runs (2). She stole 15 bases in 15 attempts.

Brandt was also Pasco's top pitcher, going 11-6 with a 1.93 ERA and 172 strikeouts in 116 innings.

The Pirates finished as the district runner-up last season to advance to the postseason for the seventh-straight year.

Brandt was a St. Petersburg Times first team all-North Suncoast selection as a designated hitter and earned a spot on the all-Sunshine Athletic Conference East Division first team as a pitcher.
