St. Petersburg Catholic junior guard Stephanie Lynch is recovering after a scary spill in Saturday night's region final against Community School of Naples.
In the fourth quarter, Lynch was scrambling for a loose ball when she fell head first on the court. The game was delayed more than 20 minutes as Lynch was carried off the court and taken to a local hospital. She was released from the hospital later that night.
"There is no concussion and she didn't break her cheekbone,'' Barons coach Nick Vandewalle said. "That's what we were worried about when it happened. She's had a concussion before and when you have one it's easier to get a second one. But she's not too black and blue and plans on being in school (Tuesday).''
