SPC's Vandewalle named FABC Class 3A Coach of the Year

St. Petersburg Catholic girls basketball coach Nick Vandewalle was named the Florida Association of Basketball Coaches Class 3A coach of the year.

The Barons were 25-5 this past season and advanced to the Class 3A region finals before losing by two points to Community School of Naples. Vandewalle took over as head coach for the 1997-98 season and has been with the Barons ever since.
