Spencer Whittaker will join Mitchell teammate Chris Schalles at the Blue-Grey National Super Football Combine in Canton, Ohio, at the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday.
Whittaker plays quarterback and cornerback for the Mustangs.
In 2010, Whittaker intercepted two passes and made 12 tackles. Offensively, he carried the ball eight times for 35 yards.
Whittaker was selected for the national combine after a standout performance at a regional Blue-Grey Combine at Raymond James Stadium. The best performers at the Canton national combine will be invited back for a nationally televised all-star game in January.
From the North Suncoast, Mitchell's Whittaker and Schalles have been picked for the Canton combine along with Gulf's Jeff Kruse.
