Calvary Christian 28, Seffner Christian 0

Spring game-breakers: Seffner was shut down immediately by the stingy Warriors defense. But after punting Derek Barnes took a vicious hit and fumbled inside the  20-yard line. When Calvary got the ball back, Allen Barnes went to work without missing a beat, guiding his team with three touchdown passes and one rushing. He was 6 for 6 for 139 yards, while adding four carries for additional 73 yards. Allen Barnes amassed 212 total yards during the first half alone. …The Warriors had 10 first downs in the first half. Alex Leon rushed for 50 yards on nine carries.

Did you know? Calvary’s new facility will be finished in July and will be the first in Pinellas County to feature a turf field.

Audible 2:  “On both sides of the ball we dominated and that is a very good sign for the future.” — Calvary Christian defensive line coach Derrick Pollack
